Oil on canvas 2019

Artwork portrays the timeless beauty of a library and the love for books.

It also highlights the interiors , wooden furniture, arched roof, stone walls and the strength of the woman in the portrait. There are seascape paintings hung on the wall.

Painting has a balance of grandeur sophistication and earthy simplicity at the same time.

Muted oil paints are smeared on the canvas using a knife to create a deeply textured rough raw unfinished look. Painting is varnished using Winsor & Newton matte finish. The sides of the canvas are also painted to give it a three dimensional quality.

The Books will be shipped in a plastic tube in a rolled form.
